Finance Committee

FINANCE COMMITTEE CHARTER

The American Brain Coalition (ABC) Finance Committee assists the Board of Directors in its fiscal management responsibilities, overseeing annual budgeting and financial practices, reviewing financial best practices, and making recommendations in accordance with ABC’s mission and objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review and recommend to the Board the proposed budget for the next fiscal year.

  • Review and recommend to the Board any multi-year planning targets, future dues increases, and reserve strategies.

  • Oversee and review financial reports consisting of the most current forecasts.

  • Oversee investment and reinvestment of ABC reserves.

  •  Oversee and review a sound and consistent dues structure.

  • Other financial review and recommendations as requested by the Board or Executive Director.

​The committee is composed of the Treasurer (as chair) and regular members, who serve the remaining length of their Board term. Committee members are recommended by the Nominations Committee and approved by the Board of Directors.
